Bunny Bowls

The Christmas eve is just round the corner! So, bag this chance of holding your sweets & confectioneries in style. The clay bunny bowls will be attractive to keep festive sweets in an endearing way.

Bunny bowl of clay

The materials that you need:

  • air dry clay,
  • acrylic craft paint – white,
  • rolling pin,
  • sharpie oil-based paint marker,
  • paintbrush,
  • glass bowls,
  • sandpaper


Go step by step:

  • Roll out air dry clay on smooth parchment paper to the thickness of 1/4 inch.
  • Place bowl top side down on to clay. Cut around the edge of the bowl with a knife. Lift clay gently off of parchment paper.
  • Cut out an oval shape out of the remaining clay. Cut it in half to create two bunny ears. Place ears on the back of rolled out circle & gently push to create a good smooth seam.
  • Push clay into bowl until it touches the bottom & side. Smooth out edges with your finger & let it dry overnight. Pop out the dried clay from the glass bowls & sand the edges with sandpaper.
  • You may paint bunnies with white paint to smooth out seams from the ears. Use sharpie oil-based paint marker to draw eyes and nose.

Leaf bowl of clay

Let your creative muscles loosen & get going for leaf bowls!

The materials that you need:

  • Leaves
  • Air-dry or Oven-bake clay
  • Rolling pin
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Gold spray paint


Go step by step:

  • Take bunches of fresh leaves.
  • Then, roll out a warm and soft clay into thin and even one.
  • Place the leaf at the center of clay and press it into the clay with a rolling pin. Then lift it off the clay, starting with the stem.
  • Cut properly around the leaf with a sharp knife.
  • Once cut, lift the clay leaf and place it in a stoneware bowl which is oven-safe. Later, cook it as directed on the box.
  • Once removed from the oven, cool it completely.
  • Now, paint it with attractive acrylic paints like green & red.
  • Let the acrylic dry. Further, lightly spray paint the bowls with gold metallic shade. (Tip: Hold the spray paint a bit away & spray very lightly.)
